I'm Ashley, a graduate student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, studying advertising while also working as a teaching assistant. I earned my bachelor's degree in May 2024 from the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication, majoring in Creative Media Production with a minor in Marketing, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

             At OU, I served as a Gaylord College Ambassador and held leadership roles in organizations such as Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority and the University of Oklahoma Dance Marathon. A standout moment from my undergraduate experience was studying abroad in Italy through the OU Study Abroad Program, which broadened my perspective on global media and culture.

             Professionally, I bring a diverse skill set in media and marketing. I currently freelance as a photographer and videographer through my business, Ash Mercer Media LLC, producing content for weddings, commercials, and various creative projects. Previously, I worked as a Digital Media Specialist for the Norman Public School District, where I specialized in video production, graphic design, and social media strategy. I also interned with VI Marketing & Branding Agency, where I honed my expertise in strategic communication and brand storytelling.

             With a strong foundation in media production and marketing, I am well-equipped to manage complex projects and deliver innovative, results-driven solutions. As I continue my academic and professional journey, I am excited to further develop my skills and make meaningful contributions to the dynamic world of media production and advertising.
